We are Jean, Karen, Derek and Damian, a small family business established for 20 years.

Jean makes the shell novelties (there are more than 120 different ones) and the shell flowers, some of which she then makes into very attractive flower displays. Jean is also in charge of the paperwork and keeping the books (no-one else in the family is capable, so she has no choice!). She packs the lights up ready for posting and serves in the shop at Mablethorpe.

Karen makes models, earrings, pendants, brooches, hair accessories, cuff-links and tie bars from fimo modelling clay. This is a very time consuming and delicate job and she can often be found making them at the shop while Jean is serving. Karen is also in charge of the IT side of the business and makes some of the silver plated jewellery.

Derek's trade for most of his working life was an electrical engineer, so he now puts his knowledge and expertise to use by making the unique and beautiful shell lights which have been featured in national magazines and can be found in homes of distinction throughout Britain and even overseas. He also makes some of the jewellery including hand carved pendants from jet which he found on the local beaches.

Damian joined the business when he left school and he also works in Belas (the toy and sport shop next door to our shop) so is kept extremely busy! He makes and boxes jewellery, helps with IT, serves in the shop and is an excellent all round odd job man!
